Our Vision

The heart of MISSION7 is walking like Jesus. (1 John 2:6) reaching the homeless, the lost and those in need, (Matthew 25:35-40) preaching the gospel and healing the sick (Mark 16:15-18). Giving them the hope that is in Christ Jesus our savior and making them aware of God’s free gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8).

The goal is giving our city Jesus and having the Holy Spirit completely transform our communities by the renewing of minds (Romans 12:2) resulting in a healthy lifestyle of sobriety, working, getting a place, etc. Our aim is to eventually do this by being on the streets full time to maximize opportunities to multiply good fruit for the Kingdom.

Weekly ministry looks like

A typical week for MISSION7 consists of three outreaches from the streets, to the mall, to homeless shelters, Thursday-Sunday.  We target three specific areas when ministering to the street people.

  1. We fill a basic need, e.g. Food, water, clothes, etc. James 2:14-17, Matthew 25:35-36.
  2. Give them the Word of God. We share or pass out Bibles and encourage them to be asking, knocking, seeking on their own Matthew 7:7,8, 2 Timothy 2:15.
  3. We encourage and hand out church invitations, letting them know they don’t have to do this on their own. Hebrews 10:24,25 and Galatians 6:2.

Mission 7 Name?

The MISSION7 name originated from continually walking by a pub called “The Mission” with a cross for a logo. The name was completed with the “7” when reading through the book of Revelation and learning that the number 7 represents completion and perfection.  Shortly after praying for a confirmation, I walked by a gentleman on the street with the number 7 in the center of his t-shirt.  The name MISSION7 was born!
